Our Story

In the heart of our organization resides a proud military spouse, a compassionate registered nurse, and a loving mother to two wonderfully energetic children. This is the story of our founder, Sunny Malone, who embarked on a journey driven by a deeply personal purpose. As she welcomed her first child into the world, she faced unexpected challenges— Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), colic, and dairy intolerance that brought sleepless nights and endless worries. Adding to the complexity, her husband was deployed overseas, and her family was thousands of miles away, leaving her to navigate the intricacies of early motherhood alone. As a nurse, she realized that she was experiencing symptoms of Postpartum Depression (PPD) and Postpartum Anxiety (PPA). She found herself alone and spiraling. Through this profound experience, she recognized a significant gap in comprehensive support for parents, not just within the military community, but for all mothers looking for understanding and guidance during the postpartum period.

Sunny embarked on a mission to create an organization that is composed of expert registered nurses in pediatric and neonatal services. Her vision is to cultivate a community that offers solace, empowerment, and the resources mothers need to thrive. A community where no parent feels alone, where they are supported in navigating the challenges of postpartum and cherishing the joys of parenthood.

At the core of Postpartum Network are our deeply ingrained core values: compassion, empathy, inclusivity, and resilience. We are committed to providing unwavering support and understanding to every client. Our dedication goes beyond words; it is reflected in every interaction, every resource, and every moment of care we extend to our cherished community. Your story matters, and we are honored to be a part of it.
