Do I receive CPR certification with the Family & Friends class? No. Our Family & Friends Infant & Child CPR + Choking class is an educational, hands-on course designed to help parents and caregivers build practical skills and confidence. Certification is not provided with this course. If you need formal certification, we also offer American Red Cross certification courses.
Who can attend the Family & Friends class? Parents, grandparents, nannies, babysitters, family members, and other caregivers are welcome. Your private class may include up to six participants, making it easy for the people who care for your child to learn together.
Do you come to our home? Yes. Family & Friends classes are offered in-home throughout our service area, including Clarksville, Nashville, Franklin, and surrounding communities in Middle Tennessee.
How long is the class? Most Family & Friends CPR + Choking classes are completed in approximately two hours, allowing plenty of time for instruction, hands-on practice, and questions.
Will we practice CPR and choking skills? Yes. Hands-on practice is an important part of the class. Participants practice CPR and choking response using infant and child manikins while receiving guidance and feedback from the instructor.
Will we learn how to use an AED? Yes. The class includes an introduction to AED use and how an AED may be incorporated into a pediatric emergency response.
What if I need CPR certification for work or school? We also offer American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Contact us and let us know which certification you need, and we'll help determine the appropriate course.
