RN-LED SUPPORT FOR YOUR FIRST WEEKS HOME
Newborn Support for First-Time Parents
Bringing your first baby home is exciting—but it can also come with more questions than you ever expected. Our experienced Registered Nurses provide overnight newborn care, education, and reassurance so you can rest while building confidence in caring for your baby.

FOR THE FIRST DAYS HOME
You Don't Have to Know Everything Yet
The first nights home can bring questions about feeding, newborn sleep, diapering, soothing, normal newborn behaviors, and whether you're doing things "right." Having an experienced Registered Nurse beside you means having someone there to answer questions, provide reassurance, and help you better understand your baby's individual needs.
Our goal isn't to take over parenting. It's to help you feel supported enough to grow confidently into it.

QUESTIONS FIRST-TIME PARENTS OFTEN ASK
Frequently Asked Questions
It's completely normal to have questions before bringing your first baby home. Here are a few things families often want to know about overnight newborn support.
When should overnight newborn care begin? Many families begin overnight support within the first days or weeks after returning home with their baby. The right start time depends on your family's needs, delivery and recovery, and the availability of care. We recommend reaching out during pregnancy whenever possible so support can be thoughtfully planned in advance.
How many nights of overnight support do first-time parents typically need? Every family is different. Some families want a few nights of additional rest and reassurance, while others prefer consistent support throughout the early newborn weeks. We'll help you think through a schedule that fits your family's goals, available support system, and anticipated needs.
Will my nurse teach me how to care for my baby? Yes. Education and reassurance are an important part of our approach. Your RN can help you better understand your baby's cues, newborn behaviors, feeding routines, soothing techniques, safe sleep practices, and everyday newborn care while helping you build confidence in your own abilities.
Can you support breastfeeding and bottle feeding? Our RNs can support your established feeding plan, whether your baby is breastfeeding, bottle feeding, or using a combination of both. Overnight care can also include bottle and pump-part preparation and cleaning as appropriate. When specialized lactation care is needed, we encourage families to work with an IBCLC or their healthcare provider.
Will having overnight help interfere with bonding with my baby? Overnight support is designed to complement your role as a parent, not replace it. We follow your family's preferences and feeding plan while giving you opportunities for restorative sleep. Our goal is for you to feel supported, informed, and increasingly confident caring for your baby.
What does the RN do while my baby is sleeping? While your baby sleeps, your RN remains available for their overnight needs and may assist with tasks related to the baby's care, such as preparing bottles, cleaning feeding supplies, completing baby laundry when appropriate, and documenting information for your morning handoff.
How far in advance should we reserve overnight newborn care? We recommend reaching out minimum of 6 months prior, whenever possible. Because we intentionally limit the number of families we support at one time, availability can become limited around anticipated due dates. Planning ahead gives us the best opportunity to thoughtfully coordinate your requested support.
